Data Driven Enterprises
Data Driven Enterprises (DDE) is a research and professional development organization that provides program evaluation, statistical analyses, and data trainings to schools, districts, and state departments of education. The purpose of these activities is for educators to have the tools, knowledge, and strategies they need to impact student outcomes.
The mission of DDE is to provide customized, rigorous, and meaningful evaluation and research services to our clients.
DDE is a woman-owned, small business with clients across the country. We specialize in Data! Why data?
“The most basic raw material of all — and one that can never be exhausted — is information.”
Alvin Toffler, 1980, The Third Wave
We live in a digital age full of digital data. We leave a digital footprint whenever we have a digital interaction. Today, you may have already checked into Facebook on your smart phone, purchased an item with a credit card, and punched in a code on a keypad to enter your office building. Large corporations have the power to take these digital footprints and compute thousands and thousands of statistics looking for patterns, trends, and associations. It’s called Big Data, and it’s Big Business!
As educators, while we may not be able (yet!) to analyze all the digital footprints that our students are leaving, we do have lots of valuable information on our students, our schools, and our practices that when thoroughly examined and understood, can help us identify patterns, trends, and associations at the school level.
